Review on ๐Ÿถ Silver Brushed Stainless Steel and Glass Canisters with Window - Stylish 4 Piece Set by Connie Lewis

Price and features a worth buying

These canisters look exactly like the photos and arrived on time. They are shiny and seem to be durable which is what I was looking for as I just don't like plastic containers and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars buying complicated sets. They're strong but not heavy and they don't look like cheap plastic. For the price they look fancy and I love that the lids screw on with a flimsy plastic gasket, unlike the "fancy" glass canisters with metal hinges that rust over time or fall apart completely, making the top permanent detached from the canister. The lids seem to either peel off over time or stop sucking because they're quite flimsy (see photo), but I still like the canisters. The set costs less than $30, so it's a steal considering similar sets can cost you over $100. Invest if you can, but if not, that's fine for now. I hand washed them with dish soap before putting pasta and other items in and I did notice watermarks, but I just wiped them with a good quality kitchen towel and the watermarks were gone. I've also found that water can seep into the rim of the lid (between the plastic part and the actual rim of the lid - see photos), so I wouldn't recommend soaking them completely in a sink full of water. I also don't think I would risk putting them in the dishwasher. Again, the lids feel pretty light, and the "metal" look of the canisters doesn't seem like they could handle my very old, heavy-duty dishwasher. I will order more! It's a good deal and for the price I'm glad they last a good year before needing to be replaced.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Safety
