To be fair I haven't used any other wave so others might have the same issues. Good news: I wanted this size because I didn't want to look like a 12 year old with curly hair. It gives you waves, but it takes practice! And now the bad news: the curls don't hold up even when the temperature rises and you hold them for a long time. I have pretty long hair and this was a time saver. It's not like this. The lever is a bit difficult to reach and press. I have long fingers. I don't know how someone with small hands would use this. The plastic cover over the lever (where your thumb is) gets very hot. (This isn't a hand you would wear a glove on.) - It's too easy to accidentally turn off the device or change the temperature while you're using it. (I've seen some other devices with the same button layout, so it's "normal" for some reason apparently.)
