For the crown of the guitar association. GREAT!

I use them for sanding and restoring guitar frets. Especially black. MUCH more expensive and easier to use than specialized fret files. Not even close.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great addition to my tools

They were recommended to me by a woodcarver friend of mine. I've already used one on a hand carving I was working on and it gets into some hard to reach spots well.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Weight

A great idea. but. on sanding blocks

Sounds like a great idea, but the burr needed to hold the loop of sandpaper to the tool gets in the way of sanding fine detail more than I'd like. Still very useful with that little bug preventing it from getting five stars from me.

Excellent control and value for money.

Ideal for fine modeling work. I appreciate having a few grits with color coded sticks on hand. I have used this type of sander for modeling and fine sanding for many years and have been very happy with the quality of control it offers. I recommend it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I have no complaints about it, everything is fine

Very useful little tool

They are very useful for special sanding work on scale models. The strips stay in place and appear to live decently. You can also rotate them for "fresh" sand when needed. I wish they held up a little better to wet sanding as the strips warp a bit as they dry.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • old

Works well for small projects but too slow for large areas

I needed to sand down a drawer with some small slabs and thought these little strips might help access all the small spaces. They worked, but since all the sanding was concentrated on a very small area of the paper, I had to move the paper frequently and it ended up taking too long. I used them for a small project and they worked fine. Looks well made and is holding up.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Could be a hair narrower and with better sandpaper.

My two criticisms of this are that the sharp end could be a bit narrower, it was too wide for the purpose I bought it for (pulling track polishing). on the 1911 and 2011) and the belts wear out very quickly even when sanding aluminum. Otherwise this product is great, it allows me to polish in tight spaces with relative ease and works a lot better than my old method of gluing sandpaper to a chopstick.

Pros
  • Tools and household items
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Really practical: Hand tool

Very easy to use. Well designed. Simply slide fresh paper onto the tip of the nib. Really easy to use and pinpoint those little areas you want to improve. A variety of edges, corners and peaks to get you where you need to be. Another reviewer said it eliminates "blurring," which I didn't think I had a problem with until I saw how focused and precise you can handle it. I'm a little hesitant to load up a new fresh strip of sandpaper, but if the replacement process is as well thought out as the…

Pros
  • Grinding blocks
Cons
  • Shorter cable than other tools

Wish I could find these years ago

Overall a great seller and purchase. I use them on steel (mostly), wood and plastic and since I bought them they have saved me a lot of time (due to over-sanding). They are excellent for smoothing out pitting, shaping and finishing small welds and other repairs. Not much larger than a large pencil, they are designed for fine work in small areas; If you want to smooth or sand large areas, this may not be exactly what you need. I see it as a must-have for crafting. Modelling, anything that…
