For those who doubt the traditional X Starfrit peelers 1) The cut is cleaner (looks better) because Starfrit loses less fruit and also makes a shallower channel blades in fruit .2) Our time for peeling large apples: 3 SECONDS. NO JOKE! 2) Whether big or small, the apple will be fried to perfection. Only about 20% of the time you might need to touch up the bottom with a small 1/2" knife (it takes another 3 seconds for every 5 apples. Shame on you Starfrit) 3) A lot of people complain about the toy look but it's actually a bonus. The wheels spinning on the transparent lid are great fun and kids love them. My son and nephew only started eating apples after using Starfrit and becoming addicted to it. Now, even at the market, they agree to trade sweets for apples. 4) Replacement blades at a decent price cannot be found or ordered with the peeler. Each blade lasts between 3 months and 1 year depending on usage and cleaning (hence only 4 stars). People are starting to sell it and I'll update it right away 5) Not good for pears or potatoes but can't be beat for apples of any kind 6) The main tool doesn't core or slice, it's an extra gadget so you spend another 5 seconds. in order to do this. 7) YOU GET FAT!
