Best if 3.5 port is missing or broken

Either due to a hardware or software failure my computer stopped working with my current sound system (connected to the 3.5 output port). It was easy: plug into a free USB port, turn up the volume, turn off the (disturbing) LEDs, done. Worth the modest price.
