used for 3rd monitor, not always connected

I connected this to my USB and my third monitor is connected to it. When I wake up the computer for the first time in the morning, the third monitor doesn't turn on and I usually have to restart the computer for it to turn on. Then when I open a new version of the working software, the third monitor goes black and moves all the windows that were on that screen to one of the other two. Then the 3rd window opens again. It hurts a bit, but it works in the end.
