I've had the device for a few years, it works like the day it was bought. I've gone through about a third of a fully folded and wrapped shoebox of old negatives, some from a few generations ago and I have to tell you that this negative scanner keeps paying for itself with every gem of a long time. lost image, and it pays double for these negatives. , where I have never seen the original, which I have found many times when looking through the carefully preserved negatives of my late mother and grandmother, some of which were taken 60 or more years ago. The quality of the digital print is average but more than adequate to bring the image to life digitally and for the really special negatives it's good enough that you'll find the ones you'd take to a professional for even better digitization. All in all, I got my money's worth here. I would recommend it to anyone interested in preserving their family history buried in little envelopes at the bottom of a trash drawer or in shoeboxes at the top of a closet. If I had one wish, it would be that Veho has developed a special slide holder that can be adapted to film/negative sizes that do not fit 35mm or 110mm slide decks (e.g.: 126mm ?).
