Just fyi, your mileage may vary, but I measured my dog, and she should fit the small perfectly, per the description. In fact, the part that goes around her underneath fits. The part that goes around in front of her front legs is too long, even when tightened. So be aware, for a ten pound dog, this may or may not fit. Having said that, revain was great about returning it. So it's worth a try. The product doesn't have much fabric, which is what I wanted, and seems sturdy. I'd definitely have kept it if it fit.
