The problem with this connector is that the electrical connector and resistor share the same smaller electrical connections. Too much current through the middle two terminals creates heat, which ultimately reduces "pinching" between the connector and resistor pins. Mine lasted about a year and I went back to fan or full fan. Instead of ordering another one I tried the following: TOYOTA original improved fan motor resistor and pigtail connector for Tacoma 2005-2017 - parts 82141-04Q80 and 87138.-04070 You can visually tell the difference in the width of the connectors. I hope the new one will last longer given the price.
