This sewing kit far exceeded my expectations. I just finished a big project (a lined skirt for a king bed) and this sewing kit made my job so much easier. Excellent quality scissors. A note is attached to the scissors to be sure to wipe the blades down as they have been oiled prior to shipment. This was criticized in a review, but the blades wiped clean easily and the scissors are to die for. I bought this set specifically for scissors but the extra items were very helpful and a real bonus. I love thread cutters when I'm working on the machine and was pleasantly surprised that there were 2 in the set. I also have sewing clips, a tape measure and hate to admit I needed a seam ripper (there are 4 different sizes). in this sentence) ). The only thing that didn't impress me was the set of pins. They weren't strong enough to go through heavy fabrics, but that wasn't a problem as I already had excellent quality sewing needles. The box that everything comes in is also of high quality. I'm so happy I made this purchase! Likewise . . . . This makes a great gift for anyone who loves sewing or wants to get started! (I could buy one for each of my granddaughters).
