This is just my personal opinion but I think it's too small for a 50-70 lbs dog. My 46 lb collie has to curl up into a ball to fit inside. It's big enough and long enough, but not wide enough for you to turn over comfortably, and certainly not wide enough for you to stretch out while sleeping. Maybe it would be better for a crocodile? Rather, he will do his job. I liked the fine wire door. I would prefer the same mesh window, not just a vertical wire window. And if the cage was wider, the window would be mesh and bigger, then it would just be a great cage for dogs :). Thanks for trying Petmate. Maybe I'll consider the next size up. Now that I know what works and what doesn't, I can work with the given measurements without having to try it.
