Review on π§ ACDelco GM Original Equipment PCV Valve Kit 89017274 with Bracket, Seals, and Spring by Joseph Long
My new PCV valve was faulty.
The PCV valve I received with this kit was defective. Caused by excessive vacuum in the engine. Removing the oil cap with the engine running sucked like a shop vacuum. Made many mistakes and replaced the PCV valve with one from Dorman. This solved the problem. A clogged PCV valve or missing PCV O-ring on 3.8 GM engines causing excessive vacuum is not uncommon, but Delco's poor AC valve caught me by surprise. This seems to be more common with MFG. Outsourcing to China, also by AC. Delco.
