With the C19 I needed something for the kids to use at school and although my Surface Pro was great for this job they had to crane their necks to get at the screen watch. I chose this to bring her screen closer to eye level and it helped. It came with two different sized "clamps" to fit whatever you need. For the Surface, I used the larger one and it stays on the screen with no issues. You can even rotate it from portrait to landscape, and the tension is so great that it stays in that position with ease. not wide enough to fully support the weight when he gets naughty. My dog came over and pet him and it definitely made him sway. I haven't dropped it yet, but it makes me a lot more aware of where I'm placing the device. I honestly don't know what could have been done other than making the base heavier or wider, but that would ruin both the small form factor and probably the reasonable price. /shrug Also, I love it and am happy with the purchase.
