The KitchenMania wooden recipe box is fun and functional! When I think of recipe boxes, this is what I always imagine. Cute little index cards with delicious handwritten recipes in a clear plastic sleeve that comes in a cute box! This recipe holder reminds me a lot of my grandmother's recipes. She wrote them all on index cards. These cards are very cute and well protected from spills. The recipe box itself is a nice sturdy box with a nice vintage feel. Still fashionable enough for any kitchen. The box comes with nice dividers to divide the dishes into categories. The food dividers themselves are made of thin wood with words drawn on them to separate each menu such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, soup, etc. In addition, there are some blank dividers for your own labels. Recipe cards are my biggest achievement. I like its size because it looks like a catalog card but with nice recipe illustrations. There is space for the name of the recipe, the number of servings, the time and the oven temperature. There is also space for ingredients and instructions. There were some very long recipes and to solve this problem I will use 2 or 3 index cards and they fit perfectly in the protective sleeve. The box is sometimes a bit tricky to close, but the instructions say the cards must be leaned against. on the back of the box, then close the lid. Just a little tip that works great for me. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and have bought 4 to date. I gave one as a housewarming gift and it was well received. I would recommend this dish to my fellow cooks!
