Acquired to amplify the Wi-Fi signal in the back room through 3 main reinforced concrete walls. I use a Keenetic Giga router. By pressing the WPS buttons, the devices became inferior friends: the repeater connected to the router, received an internal IP, but did not broadcast the network. I was mentally prepared for this, because earlier it was not possible to make friends with the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router with Keenetic in bridge mode. But with the help of the web utility, the setup was easy and fast. The network transmits, there is a drop in speed relative to that issued by the router, of course, if compared, being next to the router. But if we compare where before the Wi-Fi level was 1-2 bars and the speed was barely, now in this far corner the signal level is all 5 bars and a quite decent speed of about 8 Mbps. A laptop (Win 7) connected to the repeater sees the network printer and other computers connected to the router. The repeater can operate in two modes: EXT 1 (proxy mode) and EXT 2 (direct signal transmission). In the second mode, the speed is lost less, but it is available only in conjunction with routers that support WPS and with which the repeater has no hardware incompatibility. In my case, working in EXT 2 mode is not possible.
