I recently bought a replacement HEPA filter for my GermGuardian and wasn't aware that it also came with an activated carbon -Pre-filter is supplied, so also ordered these 4 packs. The quality is the same as the GermGuardian HEPA filter, although the size is slightly different. I don't think I'll have any trouble setting this up in GermGuardian, but they're also easy to change by simply cutting them off with scissors. Since at times I had 4 more activated carbon filters than I needed, I used two of them for another. separate air conditioning; I cut the filters and placed them behind the screen in front of the rear air intake, effectively adding an extra filter where the factory didn't have one. With the air conditioning running 24/7 in the summer, I had the added benefit of extra air/odor filtration and the room smelled significantly cleaner. can also be reconfigured for other applications where you may need an activated carbon filter. I even saw a photo on the website of a person attaching it to the back of a spinning fan to help filter! Great for multipurpose use.
