. I ordered 4 and installed 2 in the yard just in front of the septic tank. I think if one of them fails, they're still under the plate. Level. The only thing to note is that they work by spring pressure, not their weight. So they are NO PROTECTION! First time I mowed after installing both, first time I mowed right over it, the popper fired out of the soundboard is 20 feet away. I suspect that the spring will be sucked out the next time the tank is cleaned. After that I just let the edge of the ZTR mower deck work with the edge of the popper and it was fine. Maybe a push mower would be a good fit but I have a JD 420 with triple blades and I set the height quite high around 75% but luckily for the price. I bought 4 because I will never have a home installed without these. By the way, this is a great company. for fast shipping, and they don't charge much more per order. So treat your family and friends to the fact that you'll never have to shovel sticky slime out of their basement again!
