[this is for a shorter 14x1.5 metric threaded hanger] I mostly use this on my MK6 GTI with 18x8.5 3SDM .001 aftermarket wheels and used it 4 times (hang 1-2 wheels on each use). Even with an electric impact wrench (which I recommend to anyone repairing their car!) it's not easy for one person to hold the wheel in place to properly tighten it. This hanger phenomenally helps set the wheel in place to align the eyebolt holes on vehicles that don't use eyenuts (including most Eurocompacts). I like the rounded end, which makes this exponentially better than just cutting the head off a long bolt for the same purpose (which I used before I bought it off the shelf). Minimal downside, I would like the metal to be less abrasive or have a protective coating on the surface that contacts the inside of the bolt barrel. Also the textured grips on the end could have been left out as while they could scratch the plating on the inside of the bolt hole they are still not visible after installation so are in no way a deal breaker. gS
