Okay, it's designed to run the wheel. OK, it does. However, the end has a knurled handle for screwing into the bolt hole. Unfortunately, while this is useful, it also scratches the surface around the holes. So if you don't want your beautiful powder coated wheels to get completely scratched, either grind the knurling or make your own from a screw. It could also benefit from a larger diameter to better fit the wheel bolt hole, but that's a minor point.

I was looking for a threaded rod (12mm x 1.5) but 3 legs were not needed. I use a stick to attach the chrome polish nuts onto the polish wheel (sorry about skinning my fingers). I remember some foreign cars don't use lug nuts like the cars I usually deal with. I found these wheel hangers. This will help me in my work. A person putting wheels on a non-studded car would have to be a bear.

It fits but I haven't tried it since I first needed it. I have multiple secondary wheels and was having trouble getting the wheel onto the hanger. I also didn't want to grind the inside of the lugs on my new textured top wheels. Haven't used it since, never really had much trouble fitting the wheels and have done it at least 10 times since to work on a few things.

If you have a car with bolts (not nuts) you need these, actually you should have two of these dowel pins. It's almost impossible to fit a tire to a car without dowel pins, as you need three hands to do the job, two to properly line up the holes in the tire/wheel with the holes in the car, and a third hand to do the job tighten the eyebolt. I felt like I was on a reality show trying to do the impossible. Buy two as it is much easier to hang a wheel with two centering pins.

Finally tired of putting so hard on the wheels. Really crazy in the pouring rain. Didn't know someone had done this before? I was about to buy threaded bolts. They are better and cheaper. [this is for a shorter 14x1.5 metric threaded hanger] I mostly use this on my MK6 GTI with 18x8.5 3SDM .001 aftermarket wheels and used it 4 times (hang 1-2 wheels on each use). Even with an electric impact wrench (which I recommend to anyone repairing their car!) it's not easy for one person to hold the wheel in place to properly tighten it.
