Distorted magnification
This article is all well and good, but there are a few downsides. The underside of the chromed plastic that covers the top half of the outer shell has a jagged cut. More importantly, since the right side mirror is usually magnified, the magnification is somewhat distorted (like mirrors in a laugh house) and the magnification is too high, so the field of view is pretty narrow. Good that there is a blind spot mirror. The seller offered the same item at a higher price, so it must be defective. Well as they say you get what you pay for. Oddly enough, the left side mirror was really great.
