The instructions that came with the RE appeared to be 3rd generation printed copies and pretty much shit. Very small font. So I downloaded the AEV instructions. They were much more detailed, including clear pictures, as well as recommendations for using red Loctite on the lower wishbones. RE not. In both the RE and AEV instructions there was no visual image of using the supplied shims and this was not mentioned in the wording. The RE was $99 and the AEV was $99. $105. So save $6 and get RE but use the AEV instructions. However, the installation is quite simple. It took about 2 hours but without air tools it might take longer. I chose the RE over the Rancho because the RE and AEV have 3 different mounting holes so you can adjust the drop arms depending on your current lift height. I gave it 4 stars because of the instructions.
