Review on Swagman XTC2 Hitch Bike Rack by Vincent Pavelko

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Was hoping for more! camping

As an avid cyclist, I wanted to buy a bike rack that would give me confidence in the security of my expensive road bike when transporting it from one seat to another. It was also important to me to break away from the traditional struts that let your front wheel spin freely while driving, which can cause damage to your car or motorcycle. Although the price was fair I did notice that some of the things that need improvement or should have been included in this price are: The two bolts that attach the lower frame to the upper arm while tightened and secured as specified . gives your bike significant play when hitting bumps. Definitely doesn't give me "warmth and fluffiness" in transit. - The bars that go into the hole to secure the wheel stands and prevent hand movement are sometimes tricky to insert and require the rack to jiggle to fit perfectly. They started to rust after only two months of limited use, which is unacceptable for a $200 frame. The manufacturer should consider installing some form of padding or elbow pads that will secure your bike's frame. Reload your expensive carbon bike to scratch, dent or worse. I was able to fix this by gluing insulation onto the pipe, although this isn't the prettiest and I believe the manufacturer should fix this. I would like to hear from the manufacturer.
