Review on 📹 ZOSI 8CH Full 1080P Hybrid 4-in-1 HD TVI DVR: High Definition Video Recording for CCTV Surveillance System with Real-Time Monitoring by Joshua Reid

*** SECOND UPDATE *** Technical support for this device has been very patchy. After they updated the android app to allow remote access, it worked for a few days and then all remote access stopped after performing another app update on my android devices. This DVR is going in the trash. It's totally useless. *** FIRST UPDATE *** After almost 19 emails to Zosi support, they finally updated their mobile app. My client can now view their cameras on their Android phone via the cloud. It would be great if they could now release a firmware update to open ports on the DVR so I can route the monitor channel through a static IP instead of their servers. But I'm taking what I can get now. I am changing my rating from one to three stars. Thank you Zosi Support! **Old review*** One of the main advantages of a surveillance system nowadays is remote monitoring of your cameras. When I bought this system, that was not possible at all. I install these systems to make a living and sometimes my clients may not have big budgets so I look for options that give them value for money. The system worked flawlessly right out of the box, but when it came time to connect it to the network, we ran into problems. The device refused to register with the cloud service. I also tried the old port forwarding method, which didn't work either. After troubleshooting with some network checking tools, I found that the available ports listed in the Zosi network menu were actually closed on the device. I did a firmware update which didn't help and then contacted tech support through Amazon (who were very slow to respond) and also went straight to the Zosi support page. To this day they are unable to give me a working solution. I live in another country and I rely on the Skybox service for my purchases on Amazon. Even if I want to return this item, it costs more than the product is worth. I cannot recommend this product to anyone.
