I really like that it's not silver! For me it's not such a pain in the eyes. I also like that I can use it without scissors and it's easy to remove if I messed something up. I didn't get it perfect, but the tape is forgiving without causing damage when I put it on and off. Didn't notice if there was anything left as I only had it for a week. Update 10/22/2020: No marks on my window or air conditioner! To be honest I didn't even wipe the area after removing the tape and no dirt or grime has accumulated where I removed the tape. A great investment in air conditioning that you only keep for the summer.
