I also ordered these because the piece of plastic on the center brush that slides into the machine to make the brushes spin broke off for me. HOWEVER I just ordered and replaced these brushes and as I installed the new brushes I noticed that you can theoretically move if you take the whole thing apart (which isn't hard) and the black rotation indicator on the leftmost brush remove this brush to the middle position, brushes, and this part slides into the machine like the old one, and the brushes work again! You won't have a brush rotation indicator, but who really cares! This way you have two pieces to break before ordering a new one. I haven't personally tried it yet because I ordered a brand new piece but I see no reason why it shouldn't work, after all it looks like all of these brushes were cut from the same mold, some were just cut out. If anyone actually tries this, let me know how it works! As I said, this should work.
