You buy it because it works. Not because it's loud
I've tried 5-6 different laptop coolers. This is the only thing that actually lowers the temperature significantly. I have a 17 inch gaming laptop. I rotate the cooler 180 so my laptop's exhaust doesn't get near the air intake. Then use my headphone case to support the back of the laptop so it's at the right angle. The dust filter catches more than I suspect in the air.
