works great. I have a 2-1/4 exhaust and it's very narrow. Tighten the screws and it never comes loose. It looks really good on my Chevy Cobalt and can really make your car look that much better for only $20. I didn't notice much difference in sound, but I placed it far down the exhaust pipe so that the pipe covers the resonance part, but that's because I don't care about the resonance peak because I have an aftermarket muffler. I don't want the sound to change. Maybe it could make my exhaust a little louder because it goes from the smaller pipe to the big outlet, but maybe not. Not too big of a difference. Overall great quality and great addition. Will update the review if I run into any problems. I just installed it while writing this article. Update: I live in northern Michigan on salt and sand covered roads and after the first winter the tip lost its shiny stainless steel appearance and started tarnishing. There are also a few small rust spots that won't come out. I've tried my best to wash it and nothing works. I understand you get what you pay for. So if you want to keep that clean looking exhaust you can buy it every year.
