DC Sports EX 1012 Muffler Tip for Enhanced Performance and Style Review

Doesn't do anything with the sound so I gave 4 stars, only if it changes the sound the way it's said my rating would be higher. FYI, my car has mufflers that might have something to do with it.

Well made stainless steel exhaust pipe. Looks very nice and sporty. Ease of installation. BUT, it does NOT improve the sound of my car's exhaust as advertised! So if you want a cosmetic upgrade for your car's exhaust pipe, buy one. If you want a deeper and airier exhaust note, don't worry.

Ignore bad reviews that are not justified.1. If you have a factory exhaust, don't change the d/t setting, the exhaust is already quiet2. Since the struts break they probably overtightened the bolts and ripped them off, I can see a big difference in tone. it makes your exhaust murrr murrr instead of breer but the label above is just ugly but it's under the bumper so no one sees it anyway except it's the best advice I have for small engine exhaust can find! The exterior design is a bit dated but my car is also 2016 so I think it's ok but not great

Very easy to apply and looks very nice. I'm not sure about the heat resistance since I sent it back. (Neutral Rating) I wanted to fit the stock Lexus IS350 pipes but they stuck out too much so I returned them. Be sure to measure the length of your standard tubing and get an idea of how big they are and how far they protrude. I don't want to bang my shin while working in the trunk.

Looks great I don't know how it will work. Before leaving the garage, one of the mounting nuts broke. I just installed the tip and left. When I came back later, one bracket was on the bottom (the 4 small thumbtacks that attached it to the top had fallen out) and the top was loose. If this happened while driving, the tip would fall off. I changed the bracket design to make this part work. Installation is easy but you will need a tool to tighten the screws. There are three of these that need to be loosened and tightened. The product mentions that I will also work with exhaust pipes as small as 1.5 inches. The product does not show the actual size, please note that it is very noticeable, when it is attached, people will see and understand, this is a good accent on the car. works great. I have a 2-1/4 exhaust and it's very narrow. Tighten the screws and it never comes loose. It looks really good on my Chevy Cobalt and can really make your car look that much better for only $20. I didn't notice much difference in sound, but I placed it far down the exhaust pipe so that the pipe covers the resonance part, but that's because I don't care about the resonance peak because I have an aftermarket muffler.
