Don't use it at an angle - YOU WILL BURN

I bought this steamer after doing a little research but I figured the 1178 almost 5 star reviews wouldn't mislead me could lead direction. - I was wrong. First, I appreciate that this is a simple steamer designed to steam clothes, but the instructions just weren't enough. I filled the body of the steamer with distilled water as instructed, put the lid on and let the steamer warm up, only to find that I had put the lid on the wrong way round. I grabbed the top part (not the vapor part but the area where it connects) and quickly found out how hot the unit was. I turned everything off and started over. After properly putting the lid on and warming up the water, I found that I had to add more water because I had waited too long (seven minutes) and all the water was - surprise! - turned to couples. I unplugged the steamer, carefully removed the lid and added more water, then plugged it back in and waited for the steam to reappear. Without thinking twice, I tilted the steamer at an angle to steam my knitwear, which lay on the floor and was immediately scalded with boiling water. It sucks. I thought I might have overfilled the tank but when I checked it was barely half full. Maybe I had a moment of stupid optimism, but I decided to try again, only I thought that the steamer would only partially overturn - no, again boiling water. I did some more research and found another vaporizer for the same price that promises to be usable from every angle.
