I am very happy with my decision to purchase this air intake for my 2013 Sonic RS. The car runs noticeably better throughout the rev range. Fuel economy doesn't seem to have gone down and may even be a little better than stock. There is also a significant improvement in the sound. The turbo spool is very noticeable under throttle, and when you let go you can hear the thud of the wastegate. The audio isn't obnoxious, although it's muffled when the HVAC fan is on or when the radio is at a reasonable level. I recommend installing one of the pre-filters above the filter to keep larger debris out of the pleats and for easier cleaning. My intake complaints only come from the assembly process. If you follow the instructions and put the engine mount bracket onto the heat shield first, you will not be able to reinstall the engine mount bolt as the heat shield will completely cover the hole. I also had problems with the air straightener insert, which is installed with superglue. I recommend installing it in a tube first and letting it dry overnight before attempting to plug it into your car.
