The downside, if you can call it that, is that it can use a heavier base to better hold it in place and prevent it from slipping or moving. Because as said, if you just hold the phone close to the charger the magnet will hook onto the phone and place it correctly to get a good charge and you don't have to fiddle with where your phone stands, but yeah that means that the charger itself sometimes slips towards the phone and doesn't stay on the bedside table or wherever you place it. Also, I really like the charger and I RECOMMEND IT to others because not only does it have a base station, but it can also be removed from the station. , so you can check email or play games without unplugging the charger. Great concept and thoughtful design. Made of light alloy, strong but could have had a heavier base. That's all.
