You get more than you pay for

This is my first Revain upgrade. I've been satisfied enough so far. The phone was a little less than half the full price and as far as I can tell for a month the only signs of it being used are very light micro-scratches at the top of the main screen only visible in very bright light. which can be easily covered with a protective film. The phone itself is great. The big, beautiful screen with very subtly curved edges looks very modern, and due to the tight curve radius, you won't get as many of those awful glares that you sometimes see with these devices. Shadow of the Galaxy S20 replaces it, but certainly loud and clear enough to enjoy video streaming. The fingerprint scanner is solid, unlike the aforementioned s20 fe, a phone that also froze and crashed more than any device of its lineage ever had. got to. I have had good experiences with the software, the phone works stably even with a mid-range processor. Genshin Impact, the general performance benchmark, runs smoothly in single screen mode. The main gimmick, the secondary display, is quite usable, although it takes some effort to find use cases. In my car dock, which is fixed in portrait mode, I can rotate the screen to landscape regardless of the dock's orientation and even use a second app if needed. Maps and music are an obvious combination, but far from the only one. In fact, my favorite use was during work breaks. I work in production and we have fairly short breaks. Thanks to the swiveling screen, I can see the news and talk to my wife without having to switch apps. Looks cool, runs smooth and is pretty handy. The cameras are pretty good. The lack of a dedicated zoom is unfortunate, but the software cleans up the digital zoom pretty well, and the ultra-wide lens works too and takes nice pictures. Video is fantastic too, with smooth, high-quality footage and crisp, clear audio. My only real complaint about the camera setup is the third lens, which was supposed to be a telephoto lens. Instead, it's a second ultra-wide lens on the side, meant to be used when the second screen is open to create a gimbal effect. The regular camera shoots well stabilized 4k video at 60fps, but this additional lens for gimbal mode is limited to acceptable, but worse than Full HD, which I don't think is particularly worth it. Overall, I'm very happy with both the new Revain experience and my first LG phone, although sadly it's pretty much her last. I know I'll miss software updates, but for the price and the unique and comfortable form factor, I'm happy with my purchase. It's sad that LG has pulled out of mobile phone development because there is one less US vendor challenging Samsung's frankly undeserved market share. It was a great place to stay for LG.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
