I give these 2 stars as they are a decent hardware package. However, the UIFlow software that is supposed to be able to program it is extremely buggy. Core2 boards keep resetting themselves when blinking, and when they turn on, they automatically jump to a part of the UIFlow application (i.e. if you have WiFi configured, the board will try to establish WiFi for an hour, no matter how many times you use it off and on). However, the main problem with the UIFlow software is that the capacitive buttons are not used to exit apps or settings. Instead, you get stuck in an app or setting until you toggle the lock off and on again, or until you hit the reset button. There are also issues with the Arduino code libraries for this board. You are expected to flash it using the Arduino m5stack core2 board setup, but this limits your esp32 to aspects of the m5stack library they developed that seem very limited. In the future I'll look at programming the board and all the different breakout boards inside the cube individually, but we'll see how that goes. the accompanying software will improve over time. But if you're looking to buy it as an entry level board now I'd go for something a little less buggy.
