Review on Customized Upgraded Mainboard Motherboard by Creality by David Plunkett

This board installed quite easily, apparently as advertised. But it didn't load. The display lit up but there was no Creality splash screen, nothing. Hoping that maybe a bootloader-only image was installed, I tried to "update" the firmware with Cura, but it wouldn't connect. It is clear that no firmware is installed. I have to program it from scratch (as there is no bootloader installed) which means I have to buy an Arduino and the right cable and then get up to speed with it to program the firmware image from scratch. I was really hoping to get my printer up and running again today and now I've lost at least a few more days and some money. My guess is that these boards are sourced from Creality and that's their fault, not the vendor's. but does it really matter? I have no time and money because the fee I received did not match the advert. Edit: I updated myself with Marlin, flashed the bootloader and a properly configured firmware with the Arduino, and everything is working great now. Really MUCH quieter! Still only four stars due to the lack of an installed bootloader (or firmware at all) as stated, but I'm back in business now, much happier.
