This is my fourth Unifi access point, although my first outdoor installation. Although the device comes with a 48VDC Gigabit PoE injector, I power the UAP from a separate GbE PoE switch. Hope it holds up to the weather. The mounting hardware is die-cast aluminum and steel, although the access point's housing is plastic. Judging by the photos, the device is installed in a small shed. I used a pointed piece of double pressure treated wood to tilt the AP to the desired coverage area. WiFi RSSI levels above -60dBm (e.g. -57dBm) are measured about 100ft from the access point (near my driveway where a ring light camera is to be installed)
