Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Enhance Precision Cooling with Phobya Inline Temperature Sensor Nickel by Antonio Gonzalez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It fell apart during installation, the design is not very good.

The black plastic outer cover came loose from both sensors during installation when I tightened the fitting. This can hardly be avoided, since there is nothing left to grasp when turning. The sensor is a standard 10kฮฉ thermistor sandwiched between a black plastic outer cap and an inner metal sleeve. It measures the temperature of the gap between the plastic and the inner metal fittings, not the temperature of the water. This has two consequences: 1) the measurement accuracy is degraded because one side of the sensor is in contact with the plastic, and 2) the sensor reading is delayed (a few seconds) because it takes some time for the metal and plastic to heat up. high. I will replace the two I bought with a better sensor. Unfortunately, draining the cable, disassembling it and, if the form factor is different, cutting a new hose is a couple of hours of work.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
