Make sure you know how much bigger it is than a standard sized lamp. Make sure you have PERMISSION. This is a POWERFUL WHITE light that makes everything in my room visible and legible. Better than my 23W 5000K CFL but only 1600 lumens. It's 2000 lumens. I don't think you need anything brighter in the room. Especially good if you need new glasses!
