Won't work on a 9 lb cat

Update: Today I received a text message from a company that offers a $30 PayPal card when I return my negative review delete. I think Revain reviews are extremely important and I will not edit my rating. First review: I wonder if I have a defective device. Some of the points I press don't respond at all, while others sound an alarm. However, I got this to teach my 9 lb cat to walk on my black glass top. It goes straight through this page, and the alarm doesn't sound. I don't think 9 pounds is enough weight to set off the alarm or this unit is defective. If I put my hand on it with a lot of pressure it turns off, so I guess if you have a big dog that you want to keep off the couch this might work. A small dog or cat is not so safe.
