I'm a carpenter, not a welder. However, my brother-in-law is a welder specializing in TIG welding of large steel pipes. I had a project for a sport fishing boat that required aluminum window frames to be made. A buddy of mine who has a Miller ac/dc tig that has previously welded for me couldn't do it because AC wasn't working on his fairly new Miller. My brother in law couldn't make it in his workshop because they make everything out of steel and it was quite a big piece. So I started looking for a used or cheap new TIG machine. I bought this unit based on some other pretty good reviews and the fact that it was the cheapest AC/DC unit I could find apart from a couple of broken Lincolns and Millers. When it arrived my brother in law was very impressed with the quality of the pedal and burner. He said they are as good as the expensive equipment they use at the manufacturing facility where he works. When he started welding he was even more impressed with the machine and couldn't believe how well it worked at such a low price. The only thing about it is that the mask is a joke but we had a few good ones so that wasn't a problem. Overall very impressed and happy with the quality of the welds and value for money! This whole car cost less than my buddy would fix the electronics in his maybe 5 year old Miller.
