I use them to check blind spots. Small enough not to block the main view of the mirror, they allow you to quickly check the blind spot. It seems like so many drivers these days are just brainless and never think about other vehicles on the road. People will drive for miles hiding in your blind spot. I like the swivel feature that allows you to twist them all the way out. I usually mount them on the outside top corner of the mirror.
