Review on Lead-Free Oiled Rubbed Bronze Single Handle Commercial Bathroom Faucet For Basin Sink With Pop-Up Drain Assembly - 4 Inch Centerset Vanity Faucet And Basin Mixer Tap By WOWOW by Stephen Ball

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mostly a very nice faucet, but 2 flimsy parts

Overall this is a very nice faucet, once I got them all finally installed. I decided to replace all 5 of my aging, leaking bathroom faucets in my home with these. First I bought 2 to see if I liked them; then 3 more. The included items show a caring company, like the white gloves (even if I did not use them), pipe tape, nice packaging, etc.The main faucet fixture is very nice. However the base of faucet is a bit smaller than the ones I replaced, and so the old faucet outline stains created on the sink are not completely covered by this faucet’s smaller base. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.All of the water pipe connections were compatible with mine, except the vertical drain tube was not quite long enough to connect perfectly to the U tube on one of my sinks. I had to force it to connect. It does not leak, but I will monitor it for a while. The reason I deducted 1 star is because of the very thin lift rod: approximately 1/2 as thick as the previous famous D-brand lift rod. Even worse is the very flimsy vertical connector that connects the lift rod to the horizontal drain stopper rod. It is much too weak, bending and malfunctioning if there is any resistance or too much free play when the lift rod is moved up and/or down. (One of the reasons there is too much free play is because the included small diameter lift rod is much smaller than the hole in the faucet it goes through.) I reverted to using the old, much stronger, thicker diameter and more reliable famous D-brand lift rod, and had to buy 3 more better lift rods at my local plumbing store. For the included weak, flimsy vertical connector (between the lift rod and the horizontal drain stopper rod), once again I reverted to using the much stronger and reliable old famous D-brand connectors and for some sinks using *2* of the included flimsy connectors (yes 2!). The included flimsy vertical connectors are almost as weak as pipe tape. I perhaps should have deducted another star here, but I decided not to because the main faucet and other parts were so good.It appears that the low cost of this faucet is indicated by the included thin lift rod and very flimsy vertical connector: very unfortunate decision. WOWOW: supply a stronger lift rod and vertical connector and charge more for them if you have to!If I was not able to use some of my old stronger famous D-brand parts, I would have been a lot unhappier with this purchase. The final results I am happy with. As always, YMMV.

Pros
  • This faucet is made with high-quality brass, ensuring that it is rust-resistant and corrosion-free.
Cons
  • The pop-up drain assembly may be prone to accumulating debris
