Review on Zippo Outdoor Lighters for Enhanced SEO by Tammy Campbell

Good idea but bad practice

The small piece of metal that the band is attached to isn't very strong either. The strap is almost not a lanyard and looks more like an elastic thread. I decided to remove the included strap and add a steel key fob (small key fob) for added security. On the first day a small piece of metal came loose from its hinge and hung there just begging me to drop my new lighter. Think of something like a paperclip bent into a V-shape with an open end at each end. There is no welding and no soldering. It's right there. One end usually pops out and I was able to get it back in every time I noticed it. No tools required. Just a little pressure. If you're planning on using it with the included strap, you might be fine, but it does seem to pop out eventually with constant use. I may be wrong, but that's what I understood from my previous usage. It's a pity really, because I really like the idea of this Zippo. Losing Zippo is such a pain and ideally could have been prevented. If this concept was more viable, I could see myself wearing it for years to come. Zippo offers a belt clip that also secures lighters, but damn that's too inconvenient for me. As long as it stays that way, I'll keep repairing the little metal bracket until it finally fails. After all, Zippo offers a lifetime guarantee. If you are a collector you must take this. If you're looking for a way to keep your Zippo with you, check out some of their other products that will keep you from losing your lighter.
