Very impressed. My first impression was, gosh, this thing is heavier than I expected. The extremely sturdy mount had no issues with my 12 coil except for a hole that lined up perfectly when the mount was centered, so I put a screw in and tightened it. Then I flipped the mount over and drilled three holes in my coil mount and the problem was solved. I recommend and bought a second one to place on a trolling motor mount in front of my boat. There are cheaper RAM versions of this "heavy" version and they might be all a man really needs. It appears to be about 2" ball or larger while cheaper models are smaller and have a 1" ball, but I have no concerns about the integrity of this mount holding my $2200 block.
