Overall I am very happy with this product. I can easily loosen/adjust or remove my electronics as needed. I currently have a Lowrance Elite 9ti mounted to this RAM mount. I can remember a time when he slipped a bit in the upper water (Forest Lake) which caused the graphic to start sagging or falling off a bit. After getting dressed a little, I had no problems.

It's rugged and claims to be designed for Lowrance HDS 12 Gen 3 but none of the holes match the gimbal mount. So I have to drill through the base to mount the sonar. Which really sucks when you're spending that kind of money on a mount. I'm sure the trim will peel off because I have to drill holes in it.

I purchased a Ram mount a few years ago and was not impressed with the mount's ability to securely hold a device. Ram now has many more mounts in the different sizes on the market to choose from. This mountain is rock hard. I installed the mount on the front of my marine boat and the unit doesn't move at all. I highly recommend this ram mount.

Very impressed with the build quality and the strength of the attachment. It works exactly how I needed it and how it should work. It just doesn't happen too often. I use to hold my 9" Lowrance in place. Thanks to the design of the product, I can find the right angle when steering the boat and do a few quick turns to lower the unit to the side.

This ram mount surprised me when it arrived. He was a lot bigger than I thought. makes sense considering the weight of the device it's holding. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the versatility of the binding's reach and movement. I can maneuver the screen in tight spaces and it stays there even on the bumpiest of rides. The downsides are the lack of fasteners and poor shipping packaging.

Very impressed. My first impression was, gosh, this thing is heavier than I expected. The extremely sturdy mount had no issues with my 12 coil except for a hole that lined up perfectly when the mount was centered, so I put a screw in and tightened it. Then I flipped the mount over and drilled three holes in my coil mount and the problem was solved. I recommend and bought a second one to place on a trolling motor mount in front of my boat. Bought to install a new Simrad card on my Grady White. Dashboard space was limited and there was no place to flush mount it. I bought this one and mounted a holder for SIMrad on it. Although the bracket is pre-drilled with multiple sets of holes, it was not customized for my particular model. Ram Mount was extremely remodeled, but that's exactly what I wanted. Contains ZERO useful hardware. You would think there would be a set of wood and a set of mounting screws for the base (counter headed because the base), stainless steel fasteners and maybe SOMETHING to put in the mounting holes? I mean it looks like a solid product. We'll see it in the Arizona heat and sun in a while, but for the price, finesse, packaging, and included gear, it falls short, to say the least. Very sturdy construction. It seems a little big for my Lowrance HDS 7 Gen 2 fish finder but I would be confident of supporting a much larger fish finder on it. You could probably use it to mount a small TV! Try it at your own risk :) I have used the smaller 1" ram mount ball mounts to mount other electronics in my car and boat.
