Review on Banks RS 42132 Performance Ram Air Intake System by Richard Cuneo

Holy Cow! The filter medium is huge with a surface area of several kilometers! I don't know about the competitor filters, but the Banks filters are HUGE and almost completely fill the air can! This was by far the easiest PS bolt-on project I've ever undertaken, taking a complete rip off and install in only about an hour and a half! My 2003 Duramax diesel sounds different now as turbo failures have become more common. I have no doubt that my engine is now getting a massive amount of fresher, cooler and cleaner air. Again, I won't be making any specific horsepower/torque boost claims as you can't be sure of the numbers until after you've dyno tested them. But the truck seems to drag forever, and it seems to get up to freeway speed faster. Overall this system is well built, the instructions are really easy to follow (with pictures) and it looks like it came factory installed when you're done. I think you will be very happy if you go with this competitor air intake system. Remember this is an oil soaked filtration system. But AGAIN, you simply CANNOT beat AMAZON's Super Saver Shipping to Hawaii! You just can't beat AMAZON or Banks diesel systems, period!
