Ordered this item for my brother after he used my early DVDirect. I love mine but my biggest complaint was that I was never quite sure if it was recorded until I played it when I was done. No longer. My brother always knows what he's recording and has broadcast many of his home videos. I also like the extra flash card readers so they can be used as a large memory bank during a long drive if needed. I like my previous version, but Sony has improved the DVDirect with some quality features.
