These anchors are somewhat destructive so I use them for permanent installations that require more capacity to hold heavy objects where a bolt cannot be used. If they have to be removed, the hole to be filled/patched will be larger. A big hole is harder to hide. Not for every anchor application. Leaves a big hole and the repair is usually visible if the wall is not smooth and you can repair the drywall well.
