I have bought 6 monitor or laptop mounts in the last 3 years. Three of those were VIVO brands and when I was looking for the last one I just seriously looked at the VIVO options. In my experience, they're easy to put together (with one caveat that I'll address) and are much stronger and more durable than others I've tried. Just a solid rock! They come with the hex keys you need, which is great (remember to keep them in case you want to make any adjustments in the future). My only criticism is the assembly instructions for this unit. They're written in good, clear English, which is a bonus, but the font and illustrations are *very* small. I had to study the illustrations carefully to make sure I was assembling the correct parts in the correct orientation. This hand has a lot of positioning flexibility! On some other arms I have, the joints don't give much range of motion. Not this one! You can get it almost anywhere you want. You will see in my photo (I hope you can make out) that I was working with limited space and trying to move around the other monitor arm. It took me a few tries but I found the perfect angles both horizontally and vertically. I was pleasantly surprised that the laptop platform has padded armrests on either side that slide in and out to give the laptop extra support and prevent it from shifting. out. My previous stand didn't have this and I knocked my MacBook over a couple of times. If you want a stable stand with lots of flexibility, I highly recommend this one!
