Review on Moroso 39020 Steel Hood Pin by John Mceachern

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent product with some caveats

I fitted these bonnet pins myself and they looked fine. The 5" hood pins fit my Dodge Challenger perfectly and I installed them directly into the holes that are already in the frame. There are a few caveats. First, the small screws that attach the panels to the hood are not included. I have confirmed this with Moroso. I had to go to the store and buy them. I used a #10 3/4" oval head, but actually a round head could have looked better. Size and length were perfect. better. The instructions that came with the kit are crap. It would be better if Moroso would create a detailed tutorial on YouTube and post it on the website. YouTube was a lot more valuable. All in all it took me a few hours on Saturday and it looks great. You will need crescent wrenches, a good step drill and a 1/8" inch bit, preferably a long one a bit of lube to apply to the tips of the pins to mark where you are going to drill the holes in the hood a marker to do the same for the panels on top of the hood Blue Masking Tape Je depending on the car and the location of the pins you may need to make a bracket or buy from another manufacturer and modify that works for you then buy this set and ha practice fun.
