Moroso 39020 Steel Hood Pin Review

Added length over Ford Racing pins makes installation easier. The hood latch on my Mustang no longer works because the fenders came loose in an accident. I just installed these Moroso pins and my hood doesn't stay secure and tight without the latch. These pens are durable and well made.

Good design for heavy duty applications. One might think they came with top and bottom washers for use on fiberglass hoods to help with structural reinforcement, but they didn't. I had to buy shims of the same size for the bottom of the hood. I also had to change the way they were installed. My painter welded the nut to the core support instead of using both nuts. Good quality for the price.

I fitted these bonnet pins myself and they looked fine. The 5" hood pins fit my Dodge Challenger perfectly and I installed them directly into the holes that are already in the frame. There are a few caveats. First, the small screws that attach the panels to the hood are not included. I have confirmed this with Moroso. I had to go to the store and buy them.
